Papercraft Warmaster Gorrath's Mech by MarcGo26 Papercraft Warmaster Gorrath's Mech by MarcGo26
One of the contest entries for Megas XLR Contest Tribute! Headbang Emoticon

Mecha papermodel of our most favorite enemy boss Gorrath! The version from the episode "Rear View Mirror".

Made from 100% colored paper(cartolina to be excact!),with 200gsm paper for support.
The 3d model and the unfolding done by me,building is also done by me,along with my tiny comrades(for tiny parts xD),with no testbuilds.

I worked so hard to model every part, and following every detail in the original source material,so the model here is the exact thing from the show.

I just hope, you both papercrafters and gear heads like it. :)

Well to see more from this, here's some couple of more shotsAvatar request dydorova:

That's awesome!

Could you explain me through the creation process? Also do you have the templates still?

Oh the creation process? It's a long story but I'll make everything short and simple: :D

-Making a 3d model in 3d modeling program(I use Google Sketchup)

-"Unfolding" the whole model into printable sheets using Pepakura Designer

-Prints all pages on used coupon bonds and taped each template on appropriate colored paper

-Cut and build each template into parts, combining small parts into bigger parts and big parts are kept for a while until all parts are completed

-Ends up with completed arms, legs, body, waist, head, and boosters(if has one) and to be combined into finished product

That's all! It's a lot for professionals though :stare:

Well too bad, my computer got formatted inevitably, causing every single data including mine to be sent into the void(no really, my brother accidentally put the computer into endless boot screen and I tried to hard reset it to fix it, well it's in my journal). So I lost all of my hard work for Gorrath and Jamie's Mech, and including my newest model-to-be Mazinger Z God Scrander version(which should be the flagship of my page).

If I still have them, I should link it and shared them to the papercrafting world along with my Megas. He's already downloadable though before this happened.

Man I miss that show!  It was such a fun show, shame it got canned after two seasons.

Thanks man! :iconfinallyplz: Honestly,my family were happy and at the same the're mad at me because of this. (well,I neglect my cleaning duties and used the computer the whole day everyday xD) But I think I have acquired my fruits of labor on the palm of my hand with this.

Umm,btw, can you also add this? Actually this is what makes
the 2 and Megas connect all together. :) (sorry,I took time uploading this ^^;):
